Applications Engineer Position

Description:

Our Application Engineers have a variety of responsibilities which provide for an interesting and challenging career. They are responsible for the entirety of a customer's system; from inception to validation. In addition, they are also responsible for the design of micro-controller based products to address new market opportunities.

Application Design & Installation:

	Design the Customer's CIMScan system.
	Perform physical installation of components at customer site. This can include running wires, installing enclosures and wireless radios.
	Perform commissioning of the system.
	Perform validation of the system operations.

Product Design:

	Design PIC based controllers for wired and wireless applications.
	Extend existing windows configuration programs.

Required Skills:

	Ability to work independently within a quickly changing environment
	Ability to multi-task in an interrupt driven environment.
	Strong attention to detail.
	Proven communication and documentation skills.
	Excellent organizational, troubleshooting, analytical and communication skills required.
	Familiarity with microcontrollers (PIC or 68Hxxx).
	Experience with C programming language.
	Basic knowledge of electronics

Assets:

	Experience with data acquisition devices a strong plus
	Experience with Visual Basic a plus
	Experience with RS-485 wiring
