Primary
Responsibilities
|
|
Develop test plans and
procedures for hardware and software products and systems. Identify,
analyze, and document all programming errors (software bugs) and operational
characteristics that are inconsistent with stated requirements and
design specifications. Work directly with the product
development team in establishing product acceptance and performance
criteria for new products. Be
responsible for the analysis, reporting and communication of test
results on all assigned projects. Help evaluate product and
application defects reported by customers and make recommendations
for their correction. |

Day to Day Activities
|
|
Review product and system
functional requirements and create test plans and test cases to ensure that overall quality
is delivered. Execute manual and automated test cases and scripts.
Document and validate resolution of identified defects.
Assist in implementing improvements in test methods and
strategies. Escalate quality concerns to management. |
|
Education &
Experience
|
|
Bachelor of Science in Engineering or
equivalent work experience. 3+ years of experience as a test or
reliability engineer. Demonstrated experience developing and
executing test procedures. |
|
Required
Skills
|
|
Ability to work independently within a quickly changing
environment. Knowledge of theoretical and practical
engineering principles with strong analytical
skills. Must be able to prioritize and manage multiple tasks, define problems,
and develop a means or method to resolve them. Strong attention to
detail with proven verbal and written communication skills are
essential. |

Assets |
|
Experience with data acquisition devices
and systems is a strong plus. Experience with modern defect
tracking programs is also desirable. |
