Applications Engineer Position


Primary Responsibilities		Responsible for the customer's CIMScan data acquisition/monitoring system, from inception through installation and validation. Design micro-controller based products to address new market opportunities.

Day to Day Activities		Design and configure the customer's CIMScan system, to meet documented functional requirement specifications. Thoroughly test system at CIMTechniques. Perform physical installation of components at customer's site. This can include running wires, installing enclosures and wireless radios. Commission the system and perform site acceptance tests. Perform validation of the system operations according to IQ and OQ protocols. Design PIC based controllers for wired and wireless applications.

Education and Experience		Technical School or military training with work experience in electronics or communications.

Required Skills		Basic knowledge of electronics. Familiarity with microcontrollers (PIC or 68Hxxx). Experience with C programming language. Proven communication and documentation skills. Ability to work independently and to multi-task in an interrupt-driven environment. Excellent organizational, troubleshooting, analytical and communication skills required, with strong attention to detail.

Assets		Experience with data acquisition devices a strong plus. Experience with SQL databases, Visual Basic, and RS-485 wiring desirable.

Other		Telecommuting: NO Travel Required: YES. Requires air travel to customer's sites throughout the US and occasionally out of the country.
